I’ve reviewed thousands of resumes — most don’t make it past the first thirty seconds.

Not because the candidates weren’t qualified. Not because they didn’t want the job. But because they were playing a game without knowing the rules — the same rules I’ve used as a hiring manager for two decades to decide who gets the interview, who gets the offer, and who gets passed over.

Most career advice comes from coaches who’ve never actually sat on the hiring side of the table. I have. I’m David Avalon — a VP-level executive, hiring manager, and AI-First Growth Marketing Executive with 20 years of experience leading high-performing teams at Fortune 500 brands and global agencies.
